When we relocated in 2007, we add ice cream to the concept. My father in law said we had to serve lemon ice just like the italian bakery that he was friends with for many years. My favorite thing is Lemon Ice. When my mom was in the hospital she would ask for Lemon Ice. My aunt brought her some, and she said this isn’t the real thing. In her memory, everytime I eat it I think of her. I bought a machine to make it myself. Just like Italy the customers say! We squeeze lemons everyday to make it fresh to order. Using the finest Maceri Produce. It is not stored frozen. I also alternate the flavors, raspberry, strawberry, mango, orange, and lime, but the customers always say where is the lemon. Lemon Ice is the best thing for a sore throught. We also serve fresh squeezed Hot Lemonade which is also soothing when your sick and it is also great to drink. So most of the time it is lemon. We also twist it with soft serve to make a gelati twist. Gelati is Italian Ice layer with soft serve, frozen yogurt or frozen custard. It is an original at Soup & Scoop®.
