The Maceri family has been a staple in the produce industry since for over 72 years located in Detroit’s historic Eastern Market. Founded by Sam Maceri, Sr. in 1936, where he began delivering produce in a single panel truck. His son, Anthony, learned the ropes from his father and started shifting the gears of the truck at age 5. Anthony has worked in the wholesale produce and foodservice business for over 40 years. He also owned and operated a retail fruit market know as Tom Maceri’s fruit market. He is also known for creating his sub sandwiches and wedding fruit tables. He now services many restaurants throughout Metro Detroit including he and his wifes restaurant in Shelby Township, Michigan, Maceri’s Soup and Scoop, Pitas and Subs. Knowing how to pick the best produce makes the best results. They serve from a list of over 125 varieties of fresh homemade from scratch soups, and the freshest salads, thats alot of produce.
When it is cold outside, you can come in and enjoy a hot bowl of homemade soup. Soup is also available to take home for the entire family in quart to gallon size. You can take home our soup in freezer to microwave containers for a quick family dinner. We also have our homemade authentic pasta sauce to take home and have a home cooked supper.
