Here it is the middle of winter, damp and cold, and lemons can give you a little bit of sunshine. Lemon is the perfect remedy to winter heaviness. During this season of colds and flu, you will appreciate the hefty dose of vitamin C that it delivers. Chills, fevers, and sore throats may be due to a variety of causes, never the less the lemon is always a helpful remedy. Here is a method that works well. The juice of one lemon is to be added to a cup of hot water with honey. My grandma Pauline used to give it to me when I was sick. It alway made me feel better. She called it hot lemonade.

At Maceri’s Soup & Scoop®, Pitas & Subs we serve from a list of over 125 varieties of fresh homemade from scratch soup made from the finest produce available. Maceri Produce has been a staple Detroit’s eastern market for over 72 years. This year we will celebrate 25 years of soup and sub making. We started making our soups and subs at Tom Maceri’s Fruit market located on Detroit’s east side which we owned and operated. Anthony Maceri has been in the food industry for over 40 years including, wholesale and retail produce, and restaurant. Lori Maceri has also been in the food industry for 25 years. Growing up in the foodservice industry gives us the experience and passion for the best quality products including the finest homemade from scratch soups you can buy.
We cater soup for any event.
