Holiday time is a special time of the year. Growing up we lived with my grandma. She always made Thanksgiving dinner all her life. She said it was her favorite meal to cook. She would cook for 40 people in an apartment size stove. Twelve pies were baked on Tuesday. On Wednesday before Thanksgiving she and her cousin would prepare everything, of course I was always helping.
Christmas was also at our house. For weeks we would bake cookies. All of the traditions, including Italian cookies. Of course for Christmas it was pasta and meatballs for sure. At my restaurant, I cook with family traditions. Catering is our specialty. In this era everything is so busy. There is no time to make things all month long.
