Founded by Sam Maceri, Sr. in 1936, where he began delivering produce in a single panel truck. His son, Anthony, learned the ropes from his father and started shifting the gears of the truck at age 5. Anthony has worked in the wholesale produce and foodservice business for over 40 years. He also owned and operated a retail fruit market know as Tom Maceri’s fruit market. He is also known for creating his sub sandwiches and wedding fruit tables. He now services many restaurants throughout Metro Detroit including he and his wifes restaurant in Shelby Township, Michigan, Maceri’s Soup and Scoop, Pitas and Subs. Knowing how to pick the best produce makes the best results. They serve from a list of over 125 varieties of fresh homemade from scratch soups, and the freshest salads, thats alot of produce.
